More than occasionally the inner sprocket on the end of the 911 camshaft is jammed or fused in place and refuses to budge. The confined space of the chain box makes it impossible to leverage the gear off, and even if you can get an edge, chances are you will only cock the gear, jamming it further, or possibly breaking a tooth on the gear (or even mar the cam itself). STOMSKI RACING’s SR079 centers over the end of the camshaft and slips behind the sprocket flange, allowing you to smoothly and effortlessly slide the gear off– protecting both the camshaft and the gear itself (and the curse jar!).
